Heroic Humility

The Cross.... An image of suffering, of agony, of death, but most of all it is an image of love, of grace, and of forgiveness. Christ is the ultimate example of living with heroic humility, but what is biblical humility?
Biblical humility can summed up in this, recognizing the strength of God in you without pulling the glory towards the self. It is choosing to live for Christ in the moments where following Christ leads to torment, ridicule, and even death.
We are called to live selflessly, focusing every aspect of our life on Christ despite the difficulties of our own lives. We are called to be bold in our proclamation of Christ, and yet we are also called to be leaders through our actions as a servant.
We are called to live in the example of Christ fully surrendered to the will of God. Who are we to live in any manner that detracts from the glory of God? Who are we to place ourselves above one another? Who are we to live in opposition of the life of Christ?
