Understanding God's nature

(because of How massive this topic is I am doing an introduction here and I will expound upon certain parts in more detail throughout the rest of my articles)
God is loving; He is the definition of love.
God is kind Because He is Good and He is the definition of Goodness.
God is merciful Because without His Mercy and His Grace we are broken and lost in darkness.
To understand the nature of God, we must stay in the word. We have to be disciplined in our seeking after God; we have to be passionate about having a relationship with Him. Even with this person will ask: Why does God let bad things happen? Why do bad things happen to good people?
These things happen because God is Good and because He is just, He gave us free will so that we would not be forced to choose Him, as He cherishes volitional love. Free will allows evil to happen because everyone has the freedom to make decisions, I cannot force you to do something nor can you force me to do something. Free will is a gift and a power, one that must be used responsibly; this is why God gave us a rule book and moral code, He put us to a higher standard so that we could exemplify His nature through our relationship as a church and in every way as a human.
God's nature becomes clear through the study of scripture (refer to my previous article on Exploring the Holy Text) and as a result those who study the bible and seek a relationship with God gain the understanding of why they believe. They begin to understand How God can be both Good and Just simultaneously.
Most importantly they begin to truly seek God in all things leading to a walk in Christ and a life of Righteousness.
